Unveiling GrantWatch’s New Feature: The Upcoming Grant Status
Up until today, GrantWatch exclusively featured “currently available grants”. Through interactions with grant-seekers like you, we realized that valuable lead time was slipping away for grants that were on the horizon but not yet ready to accept applications. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our latest enhancement: the color-coded yellow tab status of “Upcoming Grant” on GrantWatch.
Where do I Find Upcoming Grants?
You will find Upcoming Grants under the “Grants by Type” tab on the Navigation Bar on the GrantWatch website. They will also integrate into the results from GrantWatch searches and appear on lists of grants on various pages, eventually being included in the weekly grants email. GrantWatch has a blue-tab that says NEW to identify grants recently published on our site, a yellow-tab for Upcoming grants and a red-tab for archived grants. Currently available grants have either no color tab or a blue tab.
What Are Upcoming Grants?
The “Upcoming Grant” status indicates a funding opportunity that has been announced but is not yet open for applications. It’s your signal to start preparing your application in advance. In short, it gives you a heads-up before the next cycle of grant applications officially begins. While the grant may not yet be open, staying tuned for further updates and details is crucial. After all, more information is expected to be released.
It’s important to note that when an Upcoming Grant is announced, the specific guidelines, eligibility criteria, and application instructions might update quickly. For instance, the funding source’s main page may display a date from a previous year. However, upon further exploration, you may find that the current year’s guidelines are already posted. During this interim period, we encourage you to start conceptualizing your application as the funder completes their updates.
Also bear in mind, it’s essential to exercise caution and not submit an application until the funding source has fully posted the grant details and availability. We continue to monitor for updates, but it’s possible that you may notice the update before we remove the yellow tab. If you find that, we urge you to let us know at support@grantwatch.com. And as always, we thank you for your support!
To conclude, we’ve introduced the “Upcoming Grant” status to give you more lead time and improve your grant-seeking experience on GrantWatch. Stay tuned for updates and more opportunities as we keep supporting your funding pursuits for projects and initiatives. Pleas let us know your ideas as to how we can serve you better.
