Transportation Grants Provide Communities with Needed Infrastructure

Transportation Grants

1. There are Cooperative Agreements with nonprofits, government agencies, tribes, and school districts for programs to reduce air pollution. Moreover, funding is to implement programs to incentivize and accelerate the upgrading or retirement of the legacy diesel fleet.
2. There are also funding opportunities of up to $10,000 for nonprofits, city and county departments, and state and federal agencies, aimed at supporting programs that advance bicycling.
3. In addition, reimbursement grants of up to $1,000 to individuals, organizations, churches, nursing homes, and government agencies for the installation of equipment that helps people with disabilities. 
4. Government agencies can get funding to improve local roadways, promoting economic development. In fact, funding is to address critical highway needs and improve the ability of the state to compete in an international economy. As a result, this will, in turn, enhance the quality of life.
5. There are also grants to nonprofits and educational institutions for hands-on programs that teach young people about vehicle/boat restoration of collector vehicles and boats. Program priority is for high school and college-age students. Funding is to teach the specialized skills and knowledge needed to maintain vintage cars, trucks, and boats.

Cooperative Agreements, Scholarships, and Additional Transportation Grants

1. Grants are available to public transportation agencies, government agencies, and tribes to improve public transportation in the wake of emergencies.
2. Additionally, local organizations looking to construct or refurbish manufacturing facilities may apply for funding.
3. Next, grants of up to $20,000 are waiting for women who want to pursue advanced degrees.
4. There are also Educators may also receive $250 to cover the costs of classroom projects and lessons related to aviation.  
5. Finally, municipalities and schools can apply for grants to improve air quality. Funding is for the purchase of battery-powered vehicles and charging stations.
