Colorado Grants, Housing Assistance and Financial Assistance

  1. Grants to eligible Colorado nonprofits to address community needs. Moreover, program areas include education, human welfare, arts and culture, and civic enhancement. Funding is to improve the quality of life for local residents.
  2. There are grants to eligible Colorado nonprofits, government agencies, faith-based organizations, school districts, and Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) to benefit local residents. First-time applicants and faith-based applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. Grants will be awarded in the following focus areas: arts and culture, community development, environment, and education. Focus areas also include: health and human services, athletics and recreation, domestic animal welfare, historical tradition and preservation, and collaborations.
  3. In addition, housing assistance to provide housing assistance to eligible Colorado individuals living and working in the region. Applicants may apply for move-in assistance, rental assistance, and down payment assistance for home purchases. Funding is to assist full-time residents to successfully live and work in their local area. Priority for applicants will be based upon economic need.
  4. Financial assistance to eligible Colorado individuals to live/work successfully in their communities. Applicants will apply for assistance for down payments for home purchases, move-in assistance, and rental assistance.
  5. There are grants to eligible Colorado nonprofits and government agencies to promote local tourism. Funding is to advertise and host special events and activities that encourage tourism and attract visitors, with an emphasis on promoting overnight stays. All events must be open and/or available to the general public.

Additional Colorado Grants

  1. Also, grants of up to $2,500 to eligible Colorado nonprofits, government agencies, and faith-based organizations for programs that benefit local communities. Requests will be for capital or program support. Focus areas are youth, education, recreation, scientific research, beautification and animals. A focus also for sick, aged, helpless, or needy individuals.
  2. Grants of up to $10,000 to Colorado nonprofits and government agencies for programs and projects that strengthen communities and families. Priority will be for activities focusing on community development, promoting self-sufficiency, and assisting the economically disadvantaged, the young, the elderly, and the disabled. The Foundation is also dedicated to funding efforts in rural Colorado. General operating or project requests can be made.
  3. There are grants to eligible Colorado nonprofit arts and cultural institutions and other nonprofits to carry out cultural enrichment activities, including public arts and cultural programs. As a result, funding is for special events, programs, and cross-sector initiatives. The purpose of the program is to establish creative centers and tourist destinations as well as promote the health and well-being of residents and visitors.
  4. In addition, grants of up to $50,000 to eligible Colorado nonprofits for activities that promote social equity and benefit local communities. Funding supports organization expenses as well as programming in the areas of education and economic opportunity. Funding is also for housing, environment and climate, and transportation. Grants are for applicants working to advance racial equity and community leadership.
  5. Lastly, grants to Colorado nonprofits and government entities that provide services to local residents for capital projects. Funding is for comprehensive initiatives, including construction, renovation, purchases, land acquisition, and /or expansion.
