Mother’s Day: Let’s Celebrate Mothers Everywhere!

Mother’s Day is as important a day as you can imagine, don’t you agree? After all, who knew you before anyone else? Mom. Who loved you unconditionally, even when you did something naughty? Mom. Who helped you with your homework–even math? Mom. Who kissed everything all better, every time? Mom. Who tucked you in and made sure those dastardly bedbugs didn’t bite? That’s right, Mom. Why does Mom only get one day a year? Of course, most people understand that this day IS NOT and SHOULD NOT be a one-day affair. This Sunday is Mother’s Day, let’s make a special effort to thank mothers for all that they do. With that in mind, the entire staff at GrantWatch would like to say Happy Mother’s Day too. And this writer would also like to say, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!”

To celebrate, GrantWatch is providing a list of grants designated for women in general, but also with mothers in mind as well. In addition, GrantWatch offers a list of over 300 grants in its Women grants listing category. Beyond that, GrantWatch lists grants available to fund national and even international projects and programs.

A Word From Our CEO

At the Heart of Motherhood

(Our Sincere Thanks to Bing and Psychology Today)

Mothers are the emotional backbone of our lives. They offer unwavering support and healing when we need it most. They shape us into the adults we are, serving as nurturing role models along the way. In fact, through their teachings and guidance, mothers play a central role in our development. They sacrifice selflessly for our well-being. As life-givers and protectors, they embody boundless love and dedication towards their children.

  • Mother’s Day is designated in Spring to represent new life. It’s the perfect time to celebrate ALL the Moms in your life. Don’t waste this opportunity. Call your Mom.
  • She brought you into the world. If it weren’t for your mom, you wouldn’t be here right now. If nothing else, thank her for that.
  • Mothers work hard; they make sacrifices, and they do without to ensure we have what we need. There aren’t many people who are that selfless. Take the time to let her know you appreciate her.
  • When it comes to your hopes and dreams, Mom is there to support you in any way she can. She’ll even support those wild schemes and far-fetched projects you have going.
  • Growing up, she may have been your friend, but she was also a parent. You might not have liked the boundaries she set but your safety and well-being were always her priority.
  • Don’t doubt for a minute that she sees and hears all. Moms are privy to the good, the bad, and the ugly, and they love you anyway!
  • Thanks to Mom you are a functioning adult with a working sense of empathy for your fellow human beings. She taught us all to care and that it’s okay to be kind.
  • Let’s make Mother’s Day special for all our Moms today, those with us and those we miss. Show your Mom you care by acknowledging her value in your life.
Shiny by Lori Mckenna / Sara Bareilles

“Once in a while I catch a glimpse
Of the truest things that she keeps hidden
Her secret heart
That’s my favorite part
I see what she can’t see
Her light only ever landing on me
But there’s a glimmer in her brown eyes
The ones she gave to me
So I know we can both be shiny
Shiny…
All that glitters isn’t gold, but gold is all I see
So I know we can both be shiny.”
