Minority Business Owners Grants
Black Business Accelerator
Opportunity for Black business owners to participate in a business accelerator. This program helps to foster entrepreneurial growth for Black business owners and facilitate their success as sellers. Successful applicants have the opportunity to receive financial support, business guidance and mentorship, and marketing and promotional support.
Create and Promote Projects Online
Grants up to $10,000 and in-kind support to Black, Asian, Latinx, and Indigenous individuals to create projects and promote them on the funding source’s platform. Eligible areas of interest include publishing, music, games, food and craft, film, design and tech, comics and illustration, and art.
Business and Organizational Development
Grants up to $500 to Israel and International women entrepreneurs to enhance business or organizational development. Funding supports the improvement, expansion, and strengthening of organizations and businesses that impact families, girls, and women throughout the world. Requests are accepted from women working in any field.
Support Economic Development
Grants to businesses in underinvested communities to support economic development. Funding provides technical assistance to growing business entities and to strengthen cooperative business models. Activities supported by this funding include improving overall financial health, increasing fundamental business finance knowledge and application, and strengthening the workforce.
Offshore Wind Energy Industry
Grants to nonprofits and emerging businesses for capital expenses related to joining the offshore wind energy industry. Funding is for projects that benefit the workforce and supply chain in offshore wind energy. New or existing emerging businesses, including minority, woman, and veteran-owned emerging businesses, are encouraged to apply.
Organic Agricultural Methods
Grants of $10,000 and in-kind services for farmers to introduce organic agricultural methods. In addition to the financial grant, successful applicants receive mentorship and support in marketing, financial and business literacy, market development, and agronomy. Applicants from underserved communities are prioritized.
Arts Programming
Grants up to $5,000 to individual artists, artist collectives, nonprofits, and businesses. Projects providing opportunities to historically underrepresented and marginalized community members are a prioritizy.
Promote Racial Justice
Grants up to $10,000 and in-kind support to nonprofits and individuals that provide services to minority communities. Focus areas include education, health, social justice, and workforce development. Funding is intended to foster and sustain racial justice. Proposals should primarily serve Black & Brown individuals or communities.
Underserved Farmers
Grants to businesses to build capacity. Funding strengthens and expand local and regional non-commodity markets. Grants strengthen food systems, with a special focus on supporting historically underserved farmers and food businesses.
Open Stores and Expand Businesses
Grants and in-kind support to business owners with diverse backgrounds to support the opening of businesses in eligible locations. Successful applicants participate in a four-week retail workshop and have access to networking resources and opportunities. In addition, individual business get guidance and planning, and support related to funding and leases. The program brings diversity to shopping centers to support equity within the industry.
Improve Internet Connectivity
Grants to businesses, nonprofits, and tribes to expand internet connectivity in unserved or underserved areas. This grant opportunity is limited to capital improvement expenses. The primary goal of the Program is to make progress toward achieving universal broadband access statewide and digital equity by 2030.
Agricultural Apprenticeship Programs
Grants to businesses and nonprofits to expand and develop agricultural apprenticeship programs. Participants receive training, mentorship, credentials, and a salary, offering an enticing option for individuals who may not otherwise have had access to career development. This project seeks to increase agricultural occupation retention rates and encourage support for individuals from underserved populations.
IT Apprenticeship Programs
Grants to businesses and nonprofits to expand and develop information technology apprenticeship programs. Participants receive training, mentorship, credentials, and a salary. It also offers an enticing option for individuals who may not otherwise have had access to career development. This project seeks to increase information technology occupation retention rates and encourage support for individuals from underserved populations.
