Get Moving: Grants to Support Walking and Exercise Programs
Walking and exercise keep you active, encourage you to spend time outdoors, and boost overall well-being! The physical and mental health benefits are undeniable. Picture this: a peaceful neighborhood stroll, a challenging hike, or a game of baseball at the local park. Sounds like heaven, doesn’t it? What’s more, activities like archery, climbing, and team sports encourage movement, build confidence, and bring communities together. Best of all, exercise and group activities are good for everyone, regardless of factors like age and socioeconomic status. However, not everyone has access to safe spaces and equipment. That-s why grants for organizations like nonprofits, government agencies, and schools are important to ensure exercise programs are accessible to all.
GrantWatch encourages our readers to get moving! Enjoy the fresh air and do more walking and other exercise. In addition, we advise the organizations that subscribe to our database to look for grant funding that supports these activities. To that end, we have provided a list of outdoor activity grant funding for a variety of projects.
