Congratulations to LA Dodgers for their 2024 World Series Win!
The World Series is baseball at its finest. In case you haven’t heard, the 2024 Major League Baseball World Series just concluded. We’re excited to add our congratulations to the LA Dodgers as this year’s World Series Champions. They beat the mighty NY Yankees to claim their eighth World Series title! Baseball is considered one of the most popular sports in athletics, with many different levels of play, ranging from Pee-Wee leagues (beginning at age 5), to high school and college. Then, for those with extraordinary baseball talent and commitment, it’s on to semi-pro and/or professional teams – the Major Leagues.
The sport of baseball was officially created by Abner Doubleday in 1907, but actually has beginnings much earlier, as far back as 1839, even before the Civil War! Baseball is often been referred to America’s Game and is also referred to as our National Pastime. Usually played in October, which is also the case this year, the World Series had a viewership of more than thirteen million people!
Whether it’s baseball, football, hockey, swimming or basketball, there are many situations where people, especially kids, don’t have the necessary funds for training, facilities, and equipment to participate.
GrantWatch is proud to provide a list of grants available for participation in baseball, as well as other sports activities. In addition, there are over 800 grants in our Sports and Recreation grant listing category.

Congratulations to Freddie Freeman MVP, and the Entire LA Dodgers
“We were like just get one, chip away, chip away,” said the MVP first baseman, Freddie Freeman for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
“That is what we say about winning grants for your organization. Win a small one and keep going to another and then another and see your organization grow to meet the needs of the community. That’s how you become a winner. Chip away!” says Libby Hikind, founder and CEO of GrantWatch and Host of GrantTalk and author of the Queen of Grants From Teacher to Grant Writer to CEO.
According to an interview on ABC, Chelsea Freeman said of her husband, “He’s such a perfectionist, so he doesn’t think he performed as well as he would have liked to, so for him to finally go out on this note with all the things that he’s doing, just absolutely incredible.”
We see another parallel of sports to grant writing here, where the attention to detail, the perfectionist inside of you together with your passion needs to pop!
