Are We Even Wearing Pants Anymore?
Almost every state has released Stay at Home or Shelter in Place orders to try and slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. For many people working in non-essential businesses, staying home is the only option. But while the physical world is on temporary hold, the digital world is busier than ever before as many companies (including GrantWatch) have transitioned to remote work for the time being.
As an introvert, I feel like I have been training for the working remotely and social distancing lifestyle my entire life! So far, it’s been a month of bliss. But, some of my coworkers are beginning to climb the walls. They miss being able to see friends, get a cup of coffee, grab lunch, or even walk out to the water to get some fresh air. Their angst is reflected in some of our private chats. They include questions like: what day is it? or, did you put pants on this morning?
In point of fact, “are you wearing pants” has been trending in mainstream media and social media alike. There are several Pinterest boards dedicated to “are you wearing pants“ memes and it seems to be a favorite question for news anchors to ask an interviewee.
COVID-19 might not have very many positive effects, but as we are already in the midst of one of the most disruptive events in our generation, we might as well find the silver lining of being isolated at home. For me, each morning starts as it did pre Stay at Home/Shelter in Place – with a twist – I start my morning with CrossFit work out via Zoom, followed by coffee on the balcony then its time to log in to Hubstaff to start my workday – pants or skirt optional😉
Creative work-from-home setups
Adapting to the new COVID-19/remote working normal can be challenging. However, there are a creative few that are making the best of the pandemic situation and it expressed in their new workspace. Below are a few of my favorites.

Is today Tuesday or Thursday? Because I have no idea.
