Our food supply is the driving force of our nation. Without it, people would not have access to the nutrients they need to survive. 5. Additionally, there are grants open to nonprofits for daily operational support. Funding supports grassroots organizations that effect positive change in the focus areas of environmental stewardship, food and agriculture, health equity, and sustainable community development.

Additional Grants for Farming and Agriculture

1. Grants of up to $75,000 are available to eligible agriculture professionals to conduct projects with qualifying businesses to further agricultural sustainability.
2. Additionally, there are grants to agriculture professionals for professional training related to sustainability in agriculture.
3. Grants are also available to IHEs, agencies, producers, and nonprofits for educational activities related to agricultural sustainability.
4. There are grants of up to $1,000 to nonprofits, schools, and groups for a wide variety of public garden projects. Funding is for food garden projects that serve community members in need. Eligible projects include senior gardens, school gardens, and community gardens.
5. Lastly, there are grants of up to $75,000 to faculty researchers for projects related to sustainable agriculture.
