GrantWatch proudly presents 10 grants for schools and educators! American Education Week, held annually before Thanksgiving, spotlights public education and the vital roles educators, families, and community supporters play in student success. Each day of the week features a unique theme to celebrate different aspects of education:

  • Kickoff Day: Launches the week’s activities and events.
  • Family Day: Invites families into classrooms to observe and engage, encouraging parent involvement..
  • Education Support Professionals Day: Honors support staff who enhance students’ educational experiences.
  • Educator For a Day: Allows community leaders to experience teaching first-hand.
  • Substitute Educators Day: Recognizes the contributions of substitute teachers.

Supporting Schools and Educators with Grants

Established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1921, American Education Week was created to advocate for better education following concerns over illiteracy in World War I draftees. While the challenges of the past have evolved, the need for strong educational support remains. Today, schools continue to rely on external funding to provide essential resources and programs. After all, the federal government provides only 13.6% of public K-12 education funds. The rest comes from state, local, and private sources. Grants, however, offer an impactful way for schools and teachers to secure additional resources. In celebration of American Education Week, GrantWatch highlights 10 grant opportunities for schools and educators. In addition, GrantWatch has several categories available for grant seekers supporting our schools and educators:

These grant opportunities offer essential funding options for classrooms across the nation.
